My name is Sukhi Kaur.
I joined the firm after graduating from London Guildhall University, where I studied Business Studies and Marketing.
My first role was a temporary position as a Marketing Assistant providing marketing support to the Tax and Trusts department. This was a fantastic opportunity to develop my skills and the support and guidance I received from the firm was key to my understanding and integration into Burges Salmon and the Tax and Trusts department. My role became permanent and I was responsible for providing departmental marketing support and serving as a marketing interface between Tax and Trusts and other departments.
I was then promoted to Marketing Co-ordinator and I am responsible for providing marketing support to the Tax and Trusts and Agricultural departments as well as providing strategic marketing support to Burges Salmon's International Committee (a committee responsible for the international relationships we have with overseas law firms).
My daily duties vary from assisting with firm-wide and departmental client events, to conducting monthly marketing meetings with departmental Partners where I discuss business development projects, marketing initiatives and the development of new services better tailored to our client needs. I also assist in the production of tenders and pitch documents to prospective clients as well as keeping the website updated with the latest legal affairs clients should be aware of.
