Peter is the firm's Managing Partner.
He joined Burges Salmon in 2001 having previously been a partner with Eversheds. He works in the Disputes & Litigation Group and is a Solicitor Advocate.

Peter's work usually involves acting for substantial public and private companies, financial institutions and public sector bodies. As well as litigation, Peter works with a wide range of dispute resolution processes including arbitration and ADR (particularly mediation). He also advises on legal risk management processes to identify, evaluate and control legal risks. Recent examples of work include:
- acting for Orange in a dispute with an infrastructure services provider, National Grid Wireless, in a case concerning the charges payable under a multi-site sharing agreement for use of a portfolio of mobile phone masts
- acting for Rhodia in a dispute with Bulkhaul concerning the termination of a hire agreement for specialist tanks for the transportation of chemicals
- acting for a financial services business in a dispute involving breaches of non-solicitation and non-compete covenants by a group of former directors and senior employees
- acting for Orange in connection with a claim by all UK mobile phone operators against HMRC for input VAT on the sums paid for their UMTS ("3G") Licences
