Of particular interest, in an HR/employment context, are the changes relating to best practice for executive remuneration and executive accountability. The Code also explicitly addresses the issue of diversity, in particular the lack of women in boardrooms, by stating that appointments to the board, whilst based on merit, should take account of the benefits of diversity, including gender.
