Adrian joined Burges Salmon in 2002 after 5 years with Simmons & Simmons, London. He advises employers and employees in both the public and private sectors on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Adrian has particular experience of advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, outsourcing arrangements and PPP/PFI and other projects, including the legal and practical implications of TUPE in both private and public sector transactions.
His recent work includes :-
- advising Avon & Somerset Police Authority on the employment aspects of outsourcing its back office arrangements through participation in the major shared services project ISiS
- advising the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on a facilities management outsourcing project across North West Europe
- successfully defending an age discrimination claim brought against a major engineering employer relating to enhanced redundancy payments
