Chris joined the firm in 1991 and has been a Commercial Disputes partner since 1997. Since then has achieved national recognition as a specialist in two areas – the Rail industry and Safety. He has been closely involved in policy and strategic (as well as operational) developments in both sectors and in helping build the firm's strong national practices in those areas.
Chris is a Solicitor-Advocate and has regularly appeared as advocate in public inquiries, arbitrations, mediations, court proceedings and inquests. He regularly provides training to directors and senior management on statutory and regulatory risk/liability for organisations and individuals. He advises in the following specialist areas:
- Commercial and insurance disputes
- Health and Safety - including corporate manslaughter
- Transport - Rail
- Regulatory law
