Nicola joined Burges Salmon in 1988 having undertaken part of her training in another Bristol firm. Nicola works in the Agriculture Property Litigation and Environment Department, working closely with the Tax and Trusts Department. She is a regular contributor to legal texts including Butterworth's Partnership Precedents.

- Acting as a consultant to other firms of solicitors on the availability of Agricultural Property Relief on farmhouses
- Advising many farming estates on their tenancy and other farming structures including partnerships
- Implementing terms of court settlements regarding ownership and occupation of farm estates
- Advice in respect of conversions to limited liability partnerships
