Nicky joined Burges Salmon in 2009 having trained and worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London. She works in the Employment, Pensions & Incentives Group and specialises in the following practice areas:

She advises on a variety of pensions matters for both trustees and employers, including closure to accrual and other changes to benefit structures, scheme mergers and reconstructions, consolidations, and general advice on administering pension schemes. Nicky also advises on employee benefit matters and share schemes. Recent examples of work include:
- advising a number of schemes on proposals to close them to future accrual
- advising trustees in relation to the provisions of recent legislative changes and updating scheme documentation
- advising on age discrimination and gender equalisation issues
