Thomas joined Burges Salmon in 2003 having graduated from Oxford University and completed his legal training in Bristol. He is an Associate in the Family Unit and has specialised exclusively in Family Law since January 2005.
Thomas advises a wide range of clients upon all aspects of Family Law. Predominately his work focuses on the implications of relationship breakdown, for both married and unmarried couples, and the resolution of financial claims arising on divorce and separation, involving often complex issues relating to businesses, trusts and pensions.
He has a particular interest and expertise in the area of Marital Contracts (pre and post-nuptial and separation agreements).
Thomas also advises on private law children matters, including Contact and Residence applications.
Thomas is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors' Family Law Association) and is one of the founders of Bristol Young Resolution.
