Jared joined Burges Salmon in October 2008 from a leading commercial law firm in New Zealand. He re-qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales in June 2009. Jared specialises in the following practice areas:

Jared has experience in real estate in both New Zealand and England acting for energy developers, advising on sales and acquisitions of commercial property and general landlord and tenant work.
Recent examples of work include:
- advising on and negotiating options for Leases for wind farm developers within the UK
- advising a large electricity generation company in relation to the property aspects of its generation portfolio, comprising geothermal, thermal, hydro and wind resources
- advising a leading New Zealand agribusiness in relation to acquisitions and disposals of rural land
