After training at Burges Salmon, Chris was admitted as a solicitor in September 2001. He is part of a highly successful Environmental Law Unit, and also heads up the Licensing team. Chris works in the following areas:

Chris' work is particularly focussed on large independent clients in the Leisure Sector who also have environmental or noise related issues. He has substantial experience advising large sports stadia on a range of regulatory issues. Recent examples of work include:
- Advising the Racecourse Association (the trade industry body for 51 horse racecourses) on all aspects the implementation of the Gambling Act 2005
- Representing a large nightclub in licence review proceedings and a subsequent appeal following a fatal shooting
- Providing environmental advice on various aspects of Producer Responsibility to Nissan, Tyco and other pan-European firms.
