Emergency Response
If you have an emergency, e.g. a health and safety related incident, a competition Dawn Raid or an injunction, which requires immediate assistance then we operate a client emergency response line 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
During working hours call our switchboard - 0117 939 2000 - and outside working hours call our dedicated emergency response number - 0870 142 5678.
SERVICES
Pre-empting emergencies
Ensuring that emergency response procedures are up to date and fit for purpose is important for every business. We are happy to assist clients with a review of their emergency response procedures and to agree with them how and where we fit into that plan.
On site assistance
If you require on site assistance then we are equally comfortable working remotely as we are from our office base. We have invested in state of the art communications for our lawyers. We are experienced at supporting clients away from our office base and where required assisting with the on site management of emergencies. We appreciate that site attendance is not always required and with many clients we agree criteria for attendance in terms of the scale or type of incident.
Health and Safety incidents
In the case of health and safety incidents, we have on site PPE (protective footwear; eye protection; hard hats; high-vis clothing) available for all members of staff who may be required to attend site and we are experienced in attending sites.
We understand from 'hands on' experience the Gold/Silver/Bronze command structures adopted by emergency services and others for major incidents and we shape and train our team to reflect that. We recognise that strategic levels must not become overloaded with operational details during emergency response phases and that operational decision making must also be responsive.
We are also used to working with insurers and loss adjusters and have good working relations with some of the specialist insurers and adjusters.
