Burges Salmon's corporate team has advised ECI Partners and management on the sale of premium food and beverage operator rhubarb to Livingbridge.

rhubarb creates and delivers culinary memories for its guests, whether at an event in an iconic location or dining in one of the restaurants within its flourishing portfolio.  rhubarb has been creating edible stories since 1996 and has evolved into a truly formidable food company with contracts including the Goodwood Estate, the Royal Albert Hall and the Sky Garden in the City’s Walkie Talkie tower.  The company has two offices in London and Surrey and a growing number of prestige restaurant sites across the capital.

The Burges Salmon team, led by partner Richard Spink and senior associate Tim Roberts with support from specialists from across the firm, advised on all legal aspects of the sale.

Richard says: “We were introduced to the rhubarb team by our long-standing client ECI and were pleased to be able to work with ECI and management on this deal.  The management team are hugely well regarded in the sector and we wish them every success in the next stage of the development of the business with Livingbridge.”

ECI partner Paul McCreadie comments: “We’ve worked with Richard and the Burges Salmon team over many years and were pleased to involve them in the process.  They bring a real team approach to the transaction and played a major part in ensuring a well-managed and successful outcome for us and management.”
