Frank Morton joins Burges Salmon employment team

Employment law specialist, Frank Morton, joins the Burges Salmon employment team  as a consultant on 7 June, 2010 in a strategic move to grow the firm's market share in this practice area.

Frank Morton joins from Beachcroft LLP where he was a partner. He brings considerable experience in non-contentious employment law and in providing strategic advice to commercial clients and institutions, with a particular focus on financial services. His expertise includes advising on restructuring programs, discrimination and outsourcing and major strategic change issues in the UK and to multi-national organisations. Frank has been client relationship partner for large institutions and companies, which include a major US bank with whom he has had a long-standing association.

"Frank's experience in employment law and particuarly his knowledge of and contacts in the City and financial institutions will significantly enhance the strength and depth of services that Burges Salmon can offer," explains Chris Seaton, Burges Salmon partner and head of employment.

Frank will continue to work with Heather McNeice, an ex-Linklaters partner and employment law specialist now based in Australia, providing UK and multi-national companies with a 24/7 employment law service.

Frank Morton's appointment expands the firm's employment team to 23.

The Burges Salmon employment team is already highly regarded within the industry, being ranked 5 nationally in Chambers 2010. The team has also reached the shortlist in the Employment Team of the Year category at the Lawyer Awards 2010
