Burges Salmon has advised International Power on its investment in MeyGen Limited.

MeyGen is a joint venture between Atlantis Resources Corporation, International Power and Morgan Stanley and has been awarded an agreement for lease for the Inner Sound tidal project in the Pentland Firth by The Crown Estate. The project is one of the world's largest planned commercial tidal stream energy developments with a capacity of up to 400 megawatts, which is the equivalent electricity used by approximately 400,000 homes, purely from the energy generated from the tides.

The Burges Salmon team was led by corporate partner Nick Graves and senior corporate associate Dominic Davis.  Other members of the team included Euan Bremner, Paul Clark, Peter Dunn, Ross Fairley, Nicola Manclark, Nigel Popplewell and Graham Soar.
