Clare is a senior associate in the real estate team. She specialises in real estate development, real estate investment and acting for international corporate occupiers.

In relation to development matters, Clare acts exclusively for landowners on the disposal of strategic land by way of option, promotion agreement, conditional contract or competitive tender. Clare has worked for individuals, family trusts and consortia of landowners.

Clare also works for The Crown Estate in relation to the management of its traditional portfolio and acquisitions and disposals of strategic land.

She also works for international investors and occupiers on all aspects of their UK property legal requirements.

  • Acting for a consortium of 13 landowners in relation to the creation of Sherford new community in South Devon, comprising over 1,100 acres of land. The land was sold to a consortium of developers in 2014.
  • Advising Guildford Cathedral on the disposal of surplus land for residential development, with the intention of creating an endowment to secure the long term future of the cathedral.
  • Advising a private landowner on a conditional sale agreement for the development and sale of land delivering mixed use development comprising 138 dwellings, new employment space, on-site public open space, community allotments, off-site highway and drainage works and strategic landscaping.
  • Advising a number of international corporations on their London HQ requirements.
