Overview

Katie is a professional support lawyer within the Employment team.

Her responsibilities include:

  • preparing and delivering employment law training 
  • keeping the employment team up-to-date with legal and industry developments and supporting lawyers on technical legal matters 
  • writing legal updates for our clients as well as for leading HR resources
  • updating and maintaining legal precedents and know how resources
  • assisting with business development and client relationship management initiatives

Katie is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and is part of the ELA Training Committee.


Experience
Katie’s advisory experience includes advice to employers and employees in both the public and private sectors on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment and HR issues. She has particular experience in advising on working time and holiday pay matters, including providing board-level advice on strategies to adopt in light of changes to case law in this area. 

Katie’s other experience also includes advice on TUPE projects, restructuring and redundancy exercises, senior employee exits and the defence of complex whistleblowing and discrimination tribunal claims.
