Overview

Punim is a director in the firm's projects team and advises on public procurement law, commercial contracts, state aid and public funding initiatives.

Clients he has advised include those in central government and wider public sector as well as those in the financial services, technology, utilities, energy, pharmaceuticals and advertising sectors.

Punim has worked on secondment in the in-house legal team at the Bank of England and is a member of the Procurement Lawyers Association and the UK State Aid Lawyers Association.

Experience
  • Secondment at the Bank of England, advising on contract and procurement law matters.
  • Advised FirstGroup in relation to its procurement of a new call centre.
  • Advised a consortium of Police Forces on a multi-million pound procurement for forensic analytical services under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • Advised Arts Council England on the procurement of a number of key strategic contracts for the organisation.
  • Provided advice to UK Research & Innovation on State aid compliance and grant funding issues across a number of projects. Punim also assisted the organisation to review and update its suite of contractual documentation. 
  • Provided State aid advice to the University of Bristol on the establishment of two new research and innovation facilities.
  • Advised Wave Hub Limited on the restructure of the company to comply with State aid rules.
