Rachel is Head of Probate and specialises in the administration of complex and high value estates including those with international aspects.

She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has gained their Advanced Certificate in Cross-Border Estates with a distinction.

• Acting on the estates of a husband and wife who died in quick succession leaving a significant landed estate which involved claims for business, agricultural and heritage IHT relief, complex trusts issues and claims against the estates by family members.
• Acting on the estate of a successful business woman who died with assets in four jurisdictions and complex family arrangements involving the welfare minor children.
• Acting on the estate of a business man involving issues of undue influence around lifetime gifting and potential insolvency.
• Acting on the administration of an estate against which a claim was made by a disappointed beneficiary and advising on the tax implications and structure of the settlement.
• Acting on an estate which produced complex pension issues including the tax implications of exceeding the pension lifetime allowance and the passing of pension assets into trust.
