Overview

Roger is the firm’s managing partner.

As managing partner, Roger has executive responsibility for the leadership of the firm working closely with the firm's senior partner, Chris Seaton.

Roger has extensive knowledge of the employment sector with over 20 years' experience advising major employers and senior executives on all aspects of employment law.

Roger also works regularly in a number of key sectors including transport, financial services and education (having previously headed the firm's education team).

Roger is a member of the Employment Lawyers' Association and European Employment Lawyers' Association as well as the Industrial Law Society. He is a regular speaker at external seminars and events across the UK and overseas.

Experience
  • Providing support to in-house legal and HR teams in relation to major projects- including holiday pay and gender pay reporting projects.
  • Conducting tribunal advocacy and judicial mediation to resolve complex employment claims. Also advising on High Court litigation including restraint of trade and industrial action related injunctions.
  • Advising on and managing major redundancy and restructuring exercises, including site closures, business relocations and TUPE and outsourcing.
  • Advising on executive appointments and severances at the most senior levels (both from an employer and executive perspective).
  • Providing guidance on internal dispute resolution procedures including grievances, regulatory compliance and fraud investigations.
  • Providing training to client HR and legal teams on all aspects of employment law.
