Overview

Tim is a senior associate within the firm's construction and engineering team and has experience in a wide range of construction, engineering and infrastructure projects.

Particular expertise is held around energy/renewables projects including:

  • battery storage
  • reserve power
  • biomass
  • wind
  • solar
  • marine
  • nuclear

Tim provides all stakeholders (including funders/investors, developers and contractors) with commercial and pragmatic advice across a range of projects. Tim regularly advises on various standard form contracts including:

  • FIDIC
  • NEC
  • JCT
  • IChemE
  • LOGIC

as well as reviewing and drafting project specific documents, such as security documents (bonds and parent company guarantees), and consultancy/professional team appointments and collateral warranties.

Experience
  • Advising an investor in relation to the development and project financing of a portfolio of battery storage projects totalling more than 70MW, including advising on the EPC/O&M/battery supply contracts and ancillary documents.
  • Advising various developers and funders on a number of renewable energy projects, including onshore wind and solar projects in the UK (both England and Scotland).
  • Advising an international bank on the financing of a mixed use central London development (including a new hotel and a residential property block).
  • Advising a leading clean energy company on the development and operation and maintenance of a number of battery storage and solar projects (including first of a kind projects).
  • Advising in connection with a significant new nuclear build project.
  • Advising Wave Hub in connection with the extension and maintenance of its facilities for the testing of wave power technologies.
