Overview

The UK has been and leader in wind power both on and offshore and our renewable energy experts have been working with the industry for over 2 decades. We advised on many of the first wave of onshore wind projects and have been advising projects in every UK offshore wind round most recently Round 4 and ScotWind. We are now advising on the UK’s first floating wind projects and throughout all of this have helped investors and funders on numerous JVs, acquisitions, disposals and financings in the sector.

We have a proven track record of helping clients to deliver wind power projects to tight deadlines. Working with experts from across the firm, we advise on all stages of wind power projects – from site assembly, consenting, route to market, planning to build out, financing and operation.

In an increasingly competitive and subsidy free world, we believe our expert knowledge of energy regulation and route to market options gives our clients a competitive advantage. We have been at the forefront of corporate PPA's, asset optimisation and repowering.

Our service spans the whole of the UK – we have specialists in English and Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish law.
