Windturbine and solar panels

As deployment of renewable energy in the UK increases, there is a renewed focus on energy storage technologies. We believe that energy storage will play a major role in the future of the UK energy sector. Effective storage solutions will add greater weight to renewables generation, help to ensure a more stable supply and give operators access to the Grid ancillary services market.

We have been advising on energy storage technologies and projects for over 10 years. This has included battery storage, fuel cells and pumped storage. We help our clients to navigate all types of commercial and legal challenges; from financing and contractual matters to regulatory and intellectual property issues, as well as bespoke power purchase agreements from storage.

We provide our clients with valuable insight into energy storage technologies, whether they are already in use or still in development. Indeed, one of our lawyers is the author of a work examining pioneers in fuel cell technology.
