Oil rig with sunset
Overview

We guide and advise our clients through the process of developing, financing and operating a wide range of onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities; from licensing through to decommissioning. Throughout the business lifecycle, our oil and gas lawyers provide day-to-day support and advice across the UK and internationally where UK law is applied.

Our oil and gas lawyers can call upon support from colleagues across the firm in the full range of specialisms such as employment, litigation, intellectual property, construction, environmental and health and safety. Our regulatory experts also have years of practical experience helping clients with intervention and enforcement action by regulators.

Through our activity in the sector’s key industry groups – such as Oil & Gas UK, UKOOG and Decom North Sea – we ensure we are well placed to assist our clients to meet the challenges posed by current market conditions and capitalise on opportunities in emerging markets, such as unconventional gas E&P and offshore decommissioning.
