Gas tanks at night
Overview

Pressure to reduce emissions has led to increased interest in minimising the impact of fossil fuels through Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology. Our CSS specialists have in-depth knowledge of new technologies and a proven track record in carbon capture projects.

Our work in the sector has ranged from investments and mergers and acquisitions, to decommissioning and day-to-day compliance issues. We are one of only a few firms working on major carbon capture projects – we have been appointed to advise on two of the UK’s largest projects. We have also advised on gas storage and LNG projects.

Our experts have followed developments in the sector for years. We have also advised on both of the UK's CCS competitions and are actively involved in shaping emerging regulation.

Areas of focus

Our Carbon Capture and Storage expertise includes the following:

  • UK and EU CCS funding competitions.
  • International regulation such as the OSPAR and London Conventions.
