Brexit - the deal, the transition and trade

An overview of what businesses need to know about Brexit to plan through 2020 and into 2021

The UK will leave the EU on 31 January 2020 on the terms of a Withdrawal Act and the EU Withdrawal Agreement. The transition period which follows is likely to end on 31 December 2020 with or without a free trade agreement.

This overview session will explain:

  • What is actually in the EU Withdrawal Agreement and Withdrawal Act
  • What that will mean for businesses in and trading with the UK during the transition period
  • What is likely to happen after the transition period
  • How Free Trade Agreements work and where the UK is in negotiating them
  • What steps businesses might put in place for 2020 and for after the transition period in 2021.

This event is suitable for anyone in the business community who wants to understand the landscape of Brexit and future trade.
