Welcome to Employment Edit, our regular update giving the pick of the key developments in employment law from the last couple of weeks:
- Transferors in a TUPE transfer must now provide employee liability information to the transferee at least 28 days before the transfer (previously the deadline was 14 days before the transfer)
- Employers need to be prepared for the new Acas early conciliation (EC) procedure which became mandatory on 6 May 2014.
- Draft codes of practice on preventing illegal working and avoiding unlawful discrimination while preventing illegal working have been laid in Parliament and are intended to come into effect from 16 May 2014.
