The banking, real estate, construction and energy teams from Burges Salmon have advised L1 Renewables Limited (L1) in relation to a £12 million refinance of the facility granted to the owners of the 12 turbine Allt Dearg wind farm near Lochgilphead, Scotland.

Investment management firm Temporis Capital acted as agent under the facility agreement.  L1 is a wholly owned subsidiary of Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited, the sole corporate trustee of the Universities Superannuation Scheme, which is the principal private pension scheme for universities and other higher education institutions in the UK.

The Burges Salmon team, which was led by banking partner Graham Soar, advised on all English and Scottish law elements of the transaction.

Graham comments: “We are pleased to have been able to provide L1 with a range of cross-sector legal advice for this transaction and advise the team on this energy sector financing, which further enhances its renewable energy investment portfolio.”
