The Stratton family has been farming at Codford in Wiltshire, England, for 100 years, with Josh Stratton now leading the business. Over the past 20 years, the business has expanded beyond farming to include commercial and residential property, as well as investment in a wide range of renewable energy projects.

Burges Salmon’s Corporate Energy team advised members of the Stratton family – long-standing clients – on the sale of 100 per cent of the share capital in Pennings Power Limited, a ground-mounted solar PV generating station, to Centrica Business Solutions Management Limited.

The Burges Salmon team advising on the transaction was led by partner Camilla Usher-Clark.

On the transaction, Josh Stratton comments: “The Burges Salmon team were efficient and easy to deal with in this successful transaction. We look forward to working with them again on our future projects.”

Camilla adds: “We are pleased to have brought the sale of Pennings Power Limited to a successful conclusion and to have been able to support the Strattons with this next step on their renewable energy journey.”
