Burges Salmon’s Responsible Business framework and strategy, which includes its signatory to the UN Global Compact, reflects how its business, people, community and environment interconnect. The framework allows Burges Salmon to focus on the activities that are most important to its business and stakeholders. At the centre of the firm’s framework is its people; their passion and values drive the firm forward. By supporting a talented, diverse workforce Burges Salmon is able to provide the right dynamics for innovation and responsible contribution.

Burges Salmon’s Head of Corporate Responsibility, Kirsty Green-Mann, says: “We see the focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors continuing to increase with greater interest across the financial and investment community, changes in legislation and the greater awareness and understanding of climate change and the need for a low carbon economy.”

Last month, Burges Salmon launched its latest Responsible Business performance report, which includes a range of information on the firm’s progress, commitments, performance, collaborations and detail in relation to a selection of its legal expertise in this area. The report also gives a comprehensive overview and update of the firm’s contribution economically, socially and environmentally.
