John Barnett, Head of the Private Client team at independent UK law firm Burges Salmon LLP, has been announced as Chairman and Presiding Judge for this year’s STEP Private Client Awards 2017/18.
These prestigious Awards are seen as the hallmark of success in the private client industry around the world and are highly sought after. Burges Salmon was recognised by winning "Legal Team of the Year – Large Firm" in 2015/16.
John said: “I am very proud to have been invited to chair the judging panel for this year’s STEP Awards. Having served as a judge for previous STEP Awards, I know how much work and time goes into the entire process. Consequently the STEP Awards are highly respected for their accuracy and integrity in recognising the best private wealth advisers throughout our industry. It is an honour to be involved.”
All 19 Award categories are open internationally for both STEP Members and non-members to enter and are designed to recognise the outstanding achievements of private client solicitors/attorneys, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisors.
Entries for this year’s awards are now open until 28 April and winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 6 September 2017 in London, which will be attended by over 700 senior practitioners from leading international firms.
