Georgina is an experienced trade mark practitioner and litigator in the intellectual property and media team. She specialises in brand protection and enforcement and manages Burges Salmon’s trade mark prosecution team. Georgina works with her colleagues to help clients arrive at the right solution to their issue, minimising impact and maximising success. She is supported by our extensive dispute resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise.
Georgina acts for clients in a diverse range of sectors, from major global brands, to entrepreneurial businesses, public sector bodies, and individuals.
Georgina has a deep understanding of the media sector in particular, having recently spent a year in-house in BBC Studios’ Content & Brand Protection team, and prior to this she was seconded to the BBC’s IP Litigation team.
Georgina has been recognised as a “rising star” by World Trademark Review. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) and The Association of European Trade Mark Owners (MARQUES).
