Henry is an associate in the firm's dispute resolution team, with a particular focus on contentious and regulatory work within the firm’s transport, health and safety, and procurement specialisms.

Henry spent four months on secondment to Abellio Group, assisting with the mobilisation of the Greater Anglia passenger rail franchise and providing commercial and transactional advice to businesses within the Abellio Group.

  • Advising an operator and its owning group on a high-profile, multi-fatality incident, involving parallel police, regulatory, internal, and other investigations.
  • Advising train operating companies on claims under their respective Track Access Contracts with Network Rail.
  • Advising a train operating company on a complex timetabling dispute in a rail-specific forum, and subsequent appeal to the regulator.
  • Advising the Financial Services Compensation Scheme on its PPI recoveries project, pursuing recoveries from lenders pursuant to s.140 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 following the Supreme Court’s decision in the case of Plevin v Paragon Personal Finance Ltd 2014 UKSC 61.
  • Advising a train operating company on its obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and related legislation.
  • Advising an owning group on a global settlement in respect of poorly-performing ticketing technology which was having a severe, ongoing impact on its subsidiaries’ businesses.
  • Acting for a bidder in the healthcare sector to challenge an award made by an NHS trust.
