John qualified into the employment team in 2016 following the completion of his training contract with the firm.

He advises employers and employees in both the public and private sectors on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment and HR issues. John also specialises in business immigration, advising on a wide variety of immigration matters such as sponsor licences, sponsor duties and visa applications. 

John is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Immigration Law Practitioners Association. He also regularly runs client training seminars and is is a contributor to XpertHR and Practical Law.

  • Advising a global retail company on the immigration and employment implications of the transfer of its Chief Financial Officer to the UK.
  • Advising a multinational corporation on a complex, multi-party grievance and subsequent disciplinary investigation.
  • Providing guidance on general employment matters including grievances, investigations and disciplinary matters, regulatory compliance and employee exits.
  • Advising on complex employment tribunal litigation including discrimination and whistleblowing claims.
  • Delivering bespoke training and workshops for clients on immigration and employment law.
