Michael is a senior associate within the firm's pensions team and advises companies and trustees across the full range of pensions issues.

His work includes advising on corporate restructuring and scheme funding negotiations involving the Pensions Regulator, moral hazard investigations, the Pensions Regulator's clearance process and pensions issues related to corporate acquisitions and disposals.

Michael’s experience also covers liability management exercises, scheme closures and buy ins/outs.
  • Advising the Bernard Matthews Pension Scheme on a pensions regulatory investigation.
  • Advising the trustees of the hibu (formerly Yell) pension plan on the pension elements of the £2.3 billion restructuring of hibu.
  • Advising the Toshiba Scheme in respect of its global restructuring.
  • Advising the trustees in respect of the key regulatory case of Great Lakes.
  • Advising on liability management exercises, buy-ins/outs and scheme closures.
