Educational qualifications include the completion of a First-Class Law LLB from The University of Sheffield and having been one of the youngest individuals to ever pass the New York State Bar exams.

Experience
  • Prior experience at a Northern law firm with a national client base, managing a caseload of around 150 pre-litigated and litigated civil law matters from inception to trial, liaising daily with clients, Counsel and support staff to progress cases in an effective manner and to develop winning strategies.
  • Drafting a variety of documentation, including Court pleadings, applications and bespoke letters of advice to clients dealing with matters of liability, causation and quantum.
  • Conducting case management during all phases of the litigation process including risk analysis of disclosure, drafting witness statements and conducting advocacy in the lower Courts at application and settlement hearings.
  • Successfully negotiating financial settlements with opposing parties, obtaining the best possible financial outcome for my clients by managing litigation risk and leveraging case prospects.
  • Providing ad hoc support to junior fee earners on matters including the civil litigation process, risk analysis and other matters specifically relating to their caseloads.
  • Previously provided pro bono legal services at a free weekly legal clinic by dispensing written legal advice on a diverse number of issues, including intellectual property, contract, family and employment law matters.
