Stephen is a solicitor in the firm’s projects team. He joined the firm in 2016 as a trainee and qualified in September 2018.

Stephen has experience advising both public and private sector clients on a broad range of projects. In particular, Stephen has experience advising on energy and rail projects

Stephen has in-house experience following a secondment at EDF Energy. He is a member of the International Nuclear Law Association

  • Assisting with the development of a suite of precedent contracts for use in commercial and residential district heat network projects in the UK.
  • Advising a global petrochemical products manufacturer on updates to the Waste Framework Directive with regard to the legal risks of acceptance of mixed-fuel waste packages and providing further analysis and advice on end-of-waste status of materials.
  • Providing regulatory advice and contract drafting on switching arrangements and back-billing rules under the Supply Licence Conditions and Billing Code for a white label supplier of electricity and gas.
  • Advising CMUs and DSR Operators on the key legal risks under the Capacity Market Rules in relation to commercial and strategic decisions in respect of pre-qualifying for the 2019 capacity market auction.
  • Assisting with the development of heads of terms for a commitment agreement in respect of the leasing of a berth for the testing of wave energy technology.
