Alistair is a solicitor in the firm's construction and engineering team. He advises on both contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering work, with particular interest in development and transport/infrastructure projects.

Alistair regularly works with standard form contracts such as JCT and NEC and has experience in drafting and negotiating project-specific contracts such as professional appointments and collateral warranties.
  • Advising a joint venture contractor on the Thames Tideway Tunnel in respect of trouble shooting arising from an NEC-based construction contract for a £4.2 billion, 25km ‘super sewer’ in London.
  • Advising Affinity Water on a NEC3 based framework in relation to arrangements with HS2 to deal with multiple clashes between the HS2 route and Affinity Water’s regulated infrastructure.
  • Advising Transport for Wales in relation to its programme for major infrastructure improvements as part of the transformation of the Core Valley Lines and connections to Cardiff, part of a £5 billion investment in transport infrastructure in Wales and Borders services.
  • Advising AEG (owners of the O2) on the joint venture development of a new designer outlet at the O2.
  • Advising Skanska on a major commercial office development in Bristol.
