About
Joseph read Jurisprudence at Wadham College, University of Oxford. During his studies, Joseph sat on the University’s ‘Blues’ Sports Committee and earned a coveted ‘Full Blue’ (First Team Sports Award) in his final year of studies. In 2024 he sat the Solicitor’s Qualifying Exams, achieving a top quintile pass.
Before joining the firm, Joseph volunteered in Luzira Maximum Security Prison in Kampala with legal charity Justice Defenders (previously, African Prison Project), working to improve prison conditions and access to justice in Uganda. He also worked as a paralegal in Financial Services Disputes from 2022- 2023.
He joined the firm in September 2024 as a trainee solicitor within the Banking and Finance team. Since joining the firm, he has participated in many of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, including volunteering as an ‘Envision Mentor’. Joseph is also currently in recruit training with the Royal Marine Reserves.
Experience
- Drafting: Drafting and negotiating suites of corporate authorisations for a variety of legal entities.
- Drafting: Drafting and negotiating documents ancillary to primary lending documents.
- Transaction management: Assisting with transaction management across real estate finance, project finance, and corporate lending transactions (often with multi-jurisdictional aspects).
