Laura trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Projects team in January 2023. She has experience advising a range of public and private sector organisations in the nuclear, energy, defence and procurement sectors.
Her experience includes providing regulatory, contractual and strategic advice to clients. Laura regularly attends industry events and working group meetings within the nuclear sector.
Experience
- EDF Energy: A member of the core team providing support to EDF Energy on the drafting and negotiation of a complex nuclear fuel supply agreement.
- Nuclear Decommissioning Authority: Providing advice to the NDA and its subsidiaries on a range of contractual and strategic matters.
- Cayman Islands Government: Advising the Cayman Islands Government on the procurement of its 25-year integrated waste management project.
- Various private equity investors: Providing advice in relation to investments in solar, anaerobic digestion and biomass projects and carrying out due diligence on the relevant project documentation.
- Ministry of Defence: Providing contractual and strategic advice to the Ministry of Defence on the SSN(A) and Dreadnought submarine programmes and its decommissioning activities.
- Government Property Agency: Advising on a complex, multi-lot regulated procurement for facilities management services across the UK Government’s estate.
