Lauren advises across a range of contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters, with a particular focus on infrastructure projects. Her clients include developers, operators, utility providers, contractors, investors and funders. 

Lauren has gained experience in-house on secondment with utilities PLC Pennon Group and with global energy firm ENGIE. During this time, Lauren advised the business on contract, procurement and commercial issues relating to arrangements with its customers (including public bodies), partners and suppliers.



  • Acting for an investment company on the purchase by way of corporate acquisition of more than 100 renewables projects and providing post-completion portfolio management advice.
  • Advising a utility on the procurement of highway maintenance contracts, following termination of the main contract for maintenance works.
  • Advising ENGIE on its investment in the 1.1 GW Moray Firth Offshore Wind Project.
  • Acting for NIBC / Royal Bank of Scotland on the disposal by their respective borrowers of two wind farm portfolios, together comprising over 50 on-shore wind farms.
  • Advising Abellio East Anglia on the use of a framework agreement for network maintenance works.
  • On behalf of a developer, negotiating contract documents for the development and ongoing operation and maintenance of three reserve power projects under a framework agreement.
  • Advising a utility on contract packages for a new build nuclear power plant.
