Marcus is a senior associate in the firm's technology, media and telecoms team and advises on the full suite of IT-related transactions including technology-driven outsourcing, IT system development projects and SaaS/ cloud services arrangements, with a particular focus on the Energy and Utilities sector and financial services clients. Marcus also advises on a wide range of GDPR, cyber security and related data issues.


  • Advising a major nuclear operator on its procurement of project-critical training simulators, required to underpin its complex training and plant operations programme.
  • Advising the Exeter Friendly Society on the outsourcing of its claims administration and clinical management services to AXA PPP, as well as the design and implementation of a new software platform provided by TCP, which underpinned that outsourcing.
  • Advising a national utilities provider on the development, design, build, maintenance and support of a new omni-channel customer contact centre platform based on the Genesys PaaS product. 
  • Advising First Group in relation to its second generation outsourcing of call centre services to Capita.
  • Advising a multinational telecommunications company in relation to the ongoing management of its contracts under the UK Government's Smart Metering Implementation Programme and the suite of "key" sub-contracts, underpinning its performance. 
  • Advising a major global telecommunications company in relation to a refresh of its procurement process.
  • Advising a Scandinavian financial institution in relation to its procurement of SaaS finance and accounting system and related services.
  • Advising a global data centre service provider for two years as an integrated member of its EMEA legal team, supporting on the full suite of customer contract matters (including in respect of key enterprise customers).
