Simon Cox Solicitor

Simon is a solicitor in the firm’s projects team. He joined the firm as a trainee in 2018 and qualified in 2020. 

Simon has a broad range of experience advising private and public sector clients on projects and commercial transactions. He advises clients operating across a wide range of sectors, including energy and utilities, rail and environment.

• Assisting a port company on the defence of a multi-million pound claim for compensation arising from coastal erosion allegedly caused by the construction of a new harbour.
• Assisting Octopus Investments Limited on the disposal of a portfolio of operational wind farm assets in England, in particular advising in relation to energy incentive regimes, regulatory and contractual issues. Simultaneously coordinating cross-firm due diligence.
• Advising a hydropower operator on Renewables Obligation eligibility in relation to a large hydro scheme in Scotland.
• Advising First Group with its rolling stock contractual arrangements in relation to its rail franchises.
