Sophie is an experienced projects and commercial contracts lawyer based in our Edinburgh office.

She is dual qualified in Scotland and in England and Wales and has extensive experience advising public and private sector clients on a wide range of infrastructure projects and commercial contracts across the UK and abroad. Sophie specialises in the negotiation of contracts across many sectors (including aviation, transport, defence, energy from waste, education and health) and advising clients on issues arising out of the operation of PPP projects.

Having worked in-house at Edinburgh Airport and completing secondments for various public and private sector clients, Sophie has had first-hand experience of the day-to-day challenges faced by clients in the infrastructure sector.

  • Senior Legal Counsel at Edinburgh Airport advising on all legal matters including the negotiation of aviation, construction, FM, retail, IT and training contracts, regulatory matters and risk mitigation.
  • Advising public and private sector clients on the management of PFI/ PPP assets.
  • Advising public sector bodies, project companies and lenders on the procurement of infrastructure projects, including projects in the transport, defence, energy from waste, education and health sectors.
  • Advising project companies on secondary market transactions.
