The Citywealth list celebrates rising stars under 40 in the private wealth industry.

07 June 2017

Three members of the firm's Private Client department have been named in the Citywealth Future Leaders Top 100.

Emma Heelis-Adams and Matthew Shayle from the firm’s Private Client International team and Nicky Howarth from the Family and Divorce team were named in the annual list, which champions young professionals in the wealth sector and highlights the leaders under 40 of today and tomorrow.

As part of the selection process, applicants were assessed on their professional achievements this year as well as details of CSR projects they have been involved with.

Each individual was nominated by a different partner within the firm’s Private Client department, who stated:

Emma Heelis-Adams’ attention to detail when advising clients means that she consistently provides good quality legal advice. Clients appreciate Emma’s calm, efficient and friendly approach and her ability to explain matters in a clear manner.”

Nicky Howarth is highly experienced in divorce settlements with assets such as businesses and pensions. Clients and counsel say she is a pleasure to work with, with a very practical, solutions-based approach, which gets the best results. She always fights her client’s corner, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with fellow professionals.”

Matt Shayle has become an important part of Burges Salmon’s international private wealth team, working alongside the partners and helping to develop the professional skill sets of the more junior lawyers. He is appreciated by clients and has made significant contributions to new business won by the team.”
