The shortlist recognises firms who have demonstrated a strong mix of commercial, legal and technical ability in advising on financing and investment in the wind industry across Europe.
Notable work for the Burges Salmon energy team in the last year has included advising National Australia Bank and Santander UK on the £86 million financing of a portfolio of English onshore wind projects, owned by Banks Renewables.
Nathan Curtis, a partner in Burges Salmon's energy team, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted at the forthcoming European Wind Investment Awards. Our team has had another busy year engaged on a variety of Lender and Sponsor-side large scale portfolio refinancings, complex M&A transactions, offshore consenting, real estate work and supply chain advice. Our Energy team is at the forefront of the Corporate and Public Sector PPA market and we look forward to supporting our clients with innovative advice as the market continues to evolve and change.”
Winners of the European Wind Investment Awards will be announced at an awards dinner on 31 October 2019.
