COVID-19: our continued commitment to client service

Our expert lawyers provide insight and advice to clients as they navigate their way through unprecedented business challenges

07 April 2020

As the situation concerning coronavirus further develops we, at Burges Salmon, continue to support our clients through these extremely challenging times, including through our recently launched COVID-19 Hub where clients can find insight and advice on subjects that we know are important to them.

We continue to take all the steps that are necessary to ensure the ongoing wellbeing and safety of our people. Our thoughts and thanks go to all of those working so hard to contain the virus and treat those affected, especially healthcare workers.

Our focus remains on ensuring that we continue to deliver excellent service and advice to our clients and that this continues without interruption. To achieve this we have carried out the following:

  • implemented robust business continuity and information security contingency plans to ensure that you and our people are fully supported – our ISO Business Continuity and Information Security certifications ensure we have the highest compliance standards in both these areas;
  • completed our transition to a remote working model: our focus has been on equipping our people with the skills, equipment and training they need to continue to support clients and ensure that we are accessible and easy to engage with. All of our teams are able to work with clients using a range of secure virtual options;
  • identified key issues for our clients through our COVID-19 response team, whose role is to identify how, as a business, we support our clients to navigate their organisations through these unprecedented times; and
  • continued to support our wide ranging CSR and Responsible Business partners who are facing many challenges.

We appreciate that organisations are also facing unprecedented business challenges and we want to support clients as they navigate their way through the many issues facing them and, hopefully, the opportunities that the next few months will bring. We are already providing advice to many of our clients to ensure that the decisions they are making now will put them in the best position to succeed moving forward. We are absolutely committed to supporting all of our clients and the communities in which we operate.

On the Hub clients can find the names of key lawyers who they can contact to discuss their needs on specific COVID-19 related issues.
