The Department for Transport has launched a public consultation on the legislative reform required to deliver on the commitments and proposals of the Williams-Shapps Plan for Rail. The consultation is structured around three headings: (1) establishing Great British Railways, (2) establishing a new sector structure, and (3) reform of wider industry structures and processes. The consultation closes to responses at 11.45pm on 4 August 2022.
