The firm’s energy team has advised Zenobē Energy, one of the UK’s largest independent battery storage firms, on its latest equity raise.

22 February 2019

Zenobē Energy is an innovative energy storage firm with a strong UK market position, providing intelligent flexible power solutions to the utilities and infrastructure sectors, electric vehicle operators, and industrial and commercial businesses.

The £25 million investment, with an option for a further £10 million, from Japanese investors JERA Co. Inc. and TEPCO Power Grid, Inc. is one of the largest direct equity injections into a UK energy storage company.

The Burges Salmon team, led by Corporate partner Camilla Usher-Clark with support from senior associate Douglas Streatfeild-James, advised Zenobē Energy on all legal aspects of the transaction.

Camilla says: “We are delighted to have helped Zenobē with the next stage of its development and a key investment for its growth”.
