Ronnie Myers, a director in the Private Client team at independent UK law firm Burges Salmon, has been included in this year’s Private Client Global Elite Directory. Ronnie is featured in the ‘Excellence’ category which recognises professionals who are experts in their fields and who have established outstanding practices. Created with the awareness that referrals and recommendations are key to the private client sector, the directory is published by leading legal publication ALM and relies on over 4,000 peer nominations to rank the world’s top 250 individuals.

Working in one of the largest private client law teams in the UK, Ronnie advises international high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals as well as financial institutions and international trust companies on tax related matters. He is mostly engaged in advising clients who are UK resident, but not UK domiciled, on personal tax, planning for moving to or leaving the UK, trusts and succession planning and high value UK real estate structuring and taxation. Ronnie also acts for international trust companies on the tax implications of trust structures.

Ronnie comments: “It’s fantastic to see so many outstanding private wealth advisors featured in the guide and an honour to be featured in this year’s edition. I’m grateful to my peers and clients for their trust and support.”

Francesca Ffiske, global director, private client, at ALM, adds: “To know that someone is an excellent technical practitioner is not enough, it is integral for the maintenance of client relationships that the advisors you refer to your clients are good personality fits and masters of communication. As such, rather than a listing of private client advisors as chosen by a third party, these are the excellent individuals as chosen by their own peers within the private wealth industry.”

Recognised nationally and internationally, Burges Salmon has one of the largest dedicated private client teams in the UK. The firm acts for entrepreneurs, landowners, HNW and UHNW individuals and their families, trustees and family offices and has an expert pool of knowledge helping clients structure their affairs, preserve their property and pass it on to their successors, whilst also providing advice on tax, divorce and nuptial agreements. The team is known for advising on complex cross-jurisdictional work and acting on some of the highest value and most complicated succession, tax planning and trust restructuring transactions.
