William Bainbridge Associate

William is an associate within our Dispute Resolution team. He advises a broad spectrum of clients on commercially significant and complex disputes across multiple sectors.

William has experience of advising clients on all stages of litigation as well as on the resolution of disputes by alternative means, including arbitration and mediation. 

• Acting for an AIM listed natural resources client in a dispute arising from the expiry of a potentially lucrative drilling licence and subsequently negotiated a settlement beneficial to the client.
• Advising the majority shareholders of a fintech company on methods for invoking the departure of a minority shareholder with whom working relationships had irreversibly deteriorated.
• Assisting with all aspects of an arbitration (LCIA) arising from a high value partnership dispute.
• Helping to obtain an injunction on behalf of a national rugby union preventing the illicit sale of tickets to international rugby fixtures.
• Advising a high profile politician on issues of reputational management and the conduct of multiple defamation claims.
• Acting for a medical equipment manufacturer in a dispute over multiple breaches, and subsequent termination, of an exclusive distribution agreement.
• Advising a major airline trade association in respect of a Competition & Markets Authority investigation.
